5 pink historic homes
Pink is, in fact, a historic house color. Yes it is. Don’t be a Doubting Thomas – I researched this statement before posting. If you think I’m full of it, then check out the historic paint color links at the bottom of this post. So then, let’s have a look:
1. The Frederick W. Neef House
The Frederick W. Neef House, is a multi-hued pink Victorian-era home located on Grove Street in Denver, Colorado
2. The Charleston Pink House

The Pink House was built circa 1712, in Charleston, South Carolina. The Pink House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing building in the Charleston French Quarter District.
3. Eldridge Johnson House
There is another ”Pink House” on the east coast - also known as the Eldridge Johnson House. This 1892 home can be found on Perry St., Cape May, New Jersey - in the Cape May Historic District.
4. Milton Carson House
Located in Eureka, California, the Milton Carson Home (also known as “the Pink Lady”) is a 1889 Queen Anne style mansion. It was built as a wedding gift to the eldest son of William Carson, owner of the grand Carson Mansion located across the street.
5. Grecian Pink House
And for a dash of pink overseas… this is the ”Neoclasical pink house” in Mytilini on the island of Lesbos, North Aegean, Greece.
So you see, pink isn’t just for little girls. No, it is quite popular with the old ladies as well.

Ha! I like that line that pink is popular for the old ladies as well. I am working on a pink house post too, but it is not as nice as this.
oh Sue – your posts are always full of house eye-candy! Can’t wait to see it!
Great looking pink houses here! I am truly surprised that pink is a historic paint color. I thought it was just us modern day romantics!
