Ski season is officially here so it’s time for House Crazy Sarah to indulge her inner ski-bum (yeah right) and look at some Swiss ski chalets!
This lovely cottage is located on Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland.
The historic chalet was actually moved from its original location – over 30 kilometers away – in the 1970’s.
Today the cottage serves as a vacation rental and has so much to offer at any time of the year.
The views of Lake Lucerne…..
You just can’t beat ’em!
The house is named Im Spycher – no idea what that means.
The cottage’s interior is not too shabby either.
This vacation rental underwent what the owners call a “soft” renovation in 2010 which opened up the interior space with more views to the lake.
Says owner Tanja:
Im Spycher happens to be located just opposite our own house. We bought it spur of the moment when it was threatened to be demolished. After the renovation we came up with the idea to share it with friends and guests from around the world.
The cottage has four rooms in total and each room occupies an entire floor of the building.
Bottom and middle floors: kitchen and living room; top two floors: bedroom/bathroom suites.
It is perfection!
If you have a serious fetish for these sweet chalets (like I do), then have a look at some others that I have profiled in the past…. Alto Adige chalets, the Trapp Family Lodge, and Swiss villas for sale!
