This house in Marina Del Rey, California is just wicked cool. Not only does it have a 10,000 gallon shark tank [is it legal to have sharks as pets??], it also has one of those glass-bottomed rooftop pools:
They went all-out on this crazy house which is currently listed for sale at: $5.725 million
Part Steampunk, part ’80’s rewind; the style is just a big mish-mash of gaudy-chic disco-ball metallic paint and faux-finish.
BUBBLES! Or something like that as a light fixture above the dining table.
Not to be outdone by the see-through grand piano:
The lower level reminds me of a nightclub after last call when the lights come on…
[Not that I frequent bars anymore in my old age, but I been to one or two as a youngling.]
Here’s one for the grown-ups:
If you can overlook the vomit-esque floors, it is probably the most tasteful room in the house.
But there’s more fun on the rooftop deck:
A game of giant chess anyone?
If that bores you, there’s always the home theatre…
Now I know this place is going to have its critics, but I actually kind of like it.
The house even appears to have a Dale Chihuly blown-glass fixture:
You could throw one heck of a party here – which is probably what the owners had in mind when they had it built. (Impress your friends by swimming with your pet sharks!)
