Here’s a sweet summertime cottage on Chappaquiddick Island near Edgartown, Massachusetts.
If you haven’t fallen in love with the exterior – complete with “Rapunzel tower” – well, have a look inside…
This cutie is currently for sale for $459,000.
It’s cozy, it’s playful, it’s classy and vintage – all at the same time.
Although the house isn’t actually that old (built in 1973), the support post & beams give it that aged Massachusetts cottage feel.
Inside the darling sunroom:
Have a look at the calm & cool master bedroom:
This 1,798 square foot home actually has five bedrooms, so it would be perfect for large family gatherings.
The decor throughout is bang-on summer cottage charm.
Disclosure: House Crazy Sarah’s favorite colors are green, blue and purple, so I’m completely enamored with the whole house color scheme.
On the roof of the sunroom, there’s a great deck with tons of space to lounge or enjoy a glass of tea…
Although this Chappy cottage isn’t on the water, it is very near a couple of beaches on the famous Island. Actually it is only an island some of the time.
Chappaquiddick technically isn’t an island because it is connected to Martha’s Vineyard with a narrow barrier beach. So most of the time it is a peninsula. But occasionally breaches of the barrier beach happen when strong storms blow through. At those times, Chappaquiddick is in fact, an island.
So now you know.
Have a good weekend!
