This quaint shingle sided cottage is located on Canada’s Cape Breton Island.
It is a vacation rental, so if you missed watching the whales go by during your summer holiday, there’s still time!
Officially named Eagles Pass, this tiny coastal cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom on 7 acres of ocean front property to peruse and explore. It is built in the traditional Cape Breton style with cedar shingles on the exterior and white-board walls inside.
Eagles Pass rents for $1,736 (USD) a week, and is fully stocked with everything a guest might need for an ocean-side sojourn.
The interior features pine beams, vaulted ceilings with exposed rafters and tons of windows to enjoy the incredible views.
The decor is simple, natural, even minimalistic. (How about the birch tree table legs with un-peeled bark!)
Such clean and cozy simplicity…
And when you have to scurry up from the ocean for a trip to the loo, you’ll have easy access…
This beach-side cottage sounds like heaven on earth:
Lobster boats haul traps in front, eagles perch nearby, moose, bobcats and foxes make appearances, and whales pass by most of the year; you will wake up to these views each morning and enjoy them all day.
So beautiful! So peaceful! So zen-ful [real word?] just looking at the photos!
Can’t you just feel that evening cooled sand on your bare feet?
