Today’s treat comes courtesy of the Sunshine State. Coconut Cottage is located in the historic district of Mount Dora, Florida. On the exterior this is a quaint gabled tin roofed home complete with a white picket fence.

A soft yellow and blue paint scheme smiles against the bright blue sky.

The screened-in front porch has hardwood floors that continue right on into the house…

The interior is a bit on the bold side.

But super fun to look at.

Coconut Cottage is currently used as a bed & breakfast but it is also up for sale for $394,900.

The cape cod style house has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It was built in 1917 and features not only over-the-top decor, but some original features such as the flooring, stone fireplace and built-in cabinets.

The kitchen is undoubtedly the tamest room in the entire house:

It’s downright boring compared to this bathroom:

Outside, there is plenty of space for BBQs on the massive back deck:

Quite possibly the best part of this whole place (in my writer’s opinion anyway), is the air conditioned “writer’s cottage” in the backyard:

It’s the loveliest, most fun cottage plus I like the name… coconut cottage…and blue and yellow exterior is one of my favorite combinations. A calm kitchen compared to the fun loud bathroom is right for sure. Thanks for showing us Coconut Cottage Sarah
