crazy lil’ cottage
I spied this 1923 Los Angeles cottage on the Curbed website a few days ago. It is currently listed for sale at $799,000.
From the outside it is a meticulously well kept classic California bungalow with oodles of curb appeal…
But on the inside…
BAM!!! Welcome to funky town!
I love this place!
It measures in at only 1,080 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, but it seems so much larger…
It just has one of those REALLY BIG personalities…
Lovin’ that indigo blue on the walls!
Skull bones, British flags, cows & antler chandelier = drama & intrigue.
I don’t think a person could be bored in any room of this house.
A daring dash of green in the kitchen:
Some baby blue in the bedroom (with glossy black painted wood floors):
And look at this most excellent patio beside/behind the house…
The property also includes a detached studio which could be used as a guest house, office or studio:
Inside the studio…
This quirky home is located on a “on a lush and quiet cul-de-sac in the sought after Franklin Hills neighborhood of Los Feliz”.
For more details, see the Redfin listing.

whoah this house is magnificent – oddly, the colors and patterns and clutter work well together. It kind of reminds me of a small roadside art gallery.
that’s a good point – I can’t help but think that someone artistic lives here!
