Fisherman’s cottage in Virginia

This charming waterfront cottage on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia is up for sale.
The realtor is calling it a “fisherman’s cottage” because it is located on a channel where you can dock a boat (or two or three).
The house is currently listed for $419,000.
Records indicate this Cape Cod style home was built around 1900, however, the owners have evidence that the main part of the cottage is “much older” than that.
I love the happy pops of color in the otherwise white decor.
This house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in almost 2,000 square feet.
In this photo (below) I would be painting that back wall a fun green, blue or other vivid color to liven things up…
But there is a quiet sweetness about this seaside home…
Nothing fancy, nothing designer. Just a simple, cozy cottage on the bay.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life – the simple things – that blow me away.
