The historic village of Somesville on Mt. Desert Island in the state of Maine is home to postcard views and this tiny blue shingled cottage:
I’ve been covering so many grand, expensive houses lately on my blog, I thought it was high time for some cottage love.
Franklin Cottage is just a stone’s throw away from scenic Acadia National Park.
The pint-sized dwelling only has one bedroom and one bathroom and is currently being used as a vacation rental.
This cottage is actually one of three in a cluster of historic homes on the property. “Franklin” caught my eye because it is just so darn quaint and unique.
It rents for between $825 – $925 per week.
There’s not much to it in terms of square footage, but Franklin has interesting touches in every corner – like the decorative finials on the exposed rafters!
