Measuring in at 384 square feet, this place is just real estate insanity.

Sure it’s cute – vintage, beachy – shabby-chic even; but I do believe that one of my bathrooms is bigger than this, um, house. (Does it even have a bathroom??)

But you know what they say – location is everything.  And being just a few feet away from the sea in the quaint town of Truro, Massachusetts makes this a desirable property.

(Wouldn’t you desire a little more for $575,000?)

Built in the year 1900, this property is being marketed as:

Part of Truro History! This one bedroom cottage with its twin sister studio were originally trap sheds for the historic cold storage processing industry. Charming only begins to describe this property located directly on the beach with views from Provincetown to Plymouth!

Another selling feature: in the event of a hurricane, just back your pickup truck onto the dunes and load up the house for evacuation!

If you have half a million dollars and want to spend it on a lobster trap storage shed, well, heh-heh, there’s a special place in the real estate hall of fame for you.

  • How much are these twin sheds? $575???? Maybe your just buying the property. And the Hurricane threats? Sounds great to me! Hahahaha

  • Might qualify as House-nuts……if you paid asking! Or anything close. Charming but 2 points north of a tent!

  • Sue says:

I do love the location of this little lobster trap shed and I’ll take it to go with a side order of a lower asking price.

  • Ahhh, but I’ve been here. My Uncle has a place not to too far away. They are right on the beach where you wake to the morning waves gently lapping at the shore line. You can smell the salt air and feel the gentle ocean breeze during the day and drink your gin & tonics and watch the sunset at the end of day. They are protected from hurricanes as they are on the inner arm of the Cape. Even Northeasters don’t bother them much.

Nothing can describe how beautiful and relaxing the area is. My kids have had a blast playing in the water and searching for treasures on the beach.

Now as to the price. Only folks with money to burn can swing that. And that would not be me…
