Check out this house in Arizona:
Did you see it? It is actually under the patio:
See? Yup, it’s under there.
Check it out from another angle:
This beautiful energy efficient, earth covered home is currently for sale in Fountain Hills, Arizona. It is listed for $270,000 and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in 1788 square feet.
This dome home is mostly buried underground but it is incredibly light and bright inside, thanks to the innovative light-gathering window tower above the dome.
It has an open kitchen/dining/living room design…
The kitchen has been recently updated (the house was built in 1980).
According to zillow.com, this house sold in January of 2010 for $149,000!
That leads me to believe this home was probably a foreclosure which someone bought as a fix-and-flip.
I could only find one photo of the interior before the renovation (the bathroom):
And here it is after:
They really didn’t change a thing! The bathroom is just staged and the photo is taken with better lighting and a better quality camera!
But it is a gorgeous home in an amazing landscape.
What do you think of the price hike since 2010?
Is it warranted when the bathrooms have not even been touched?
Has the real estate market near Phoenix rebounded that much in two years?
Just checking the comparables in the area, this home is a deal even at $270,000. Whoever bought the place for $149,000 got one HECK of a deal!
