Ski chalet with a kick
This not-so-humble abode is located in one of Colorado’s most famous skiing meccas – Vail Village.
A recent Curbed.com article described it as an ”overwrought Austrian ski chalet”. Oh yes, this place is INSANE!
And House Crazy Sarah loves a good crazy house – especially when no expense (or pattern) is spared!
Such is the case with this frenetically decorated 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom marvel.
This big boy is for sale for the big boy price of $25,000,000.
It could be described as ‘Vegas inspired’. Or perhaps the decorator was on some type of marathon sleep-deprived illicit substance binge. Or, had just finished watching Clockwork Orange.
But I suspect the truth is that the owners really love this place.
I get the feeling that the house loves the owners right back.
Fun features of this property include a private tram with direct ski-hill access, a warming hut, cedar lined wine closet, sunken wet bar, well equipped game room, and chef’s kitchen with Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances.
You have to admire people who possess obscene amounts of money and are not bashful about indulging in it.
It’s like wearing your heart on your sleeve.
