Welcome to Hillmann House – would you guess that it was built in the year 2001?
Yes it’s true, this home was carefully constructed to resemble the type of 18th century rambling residence that has been expanded over the centuries (not unlike the historic Fairbanks House I profiled a few weeks ago).
Located in Wyckoff, New Jersey, this new home showcases master craftsmanship with a strong historic slant…
This intriguing house is currently listed for sale at: $1,895,000.
The Hillmann House [which even has an old house name!] has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Country Living Magazine. It contains 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in 5,300 square feet.
Today I am featuring Wabi Sabi Cottage…
A new house with an old soul.
I stumbled onto Wabi Sabi Cottage online quite by chance and the owner, Joan Thompson, was gracious enough to let me share these photos with you.
Wabi Sabi Cottage is located in the Historic Sheepscot Village, near Alna, Maine. The cottage overlooks the tidal Sheepscot River and is actually a bed & breakfast AND a charming country café.
